People We Learned About:
During this unit we learned about many different people who were important to the Harlem Renaissance and people who were important around the time of the Harlem Renaissance. Like Alice Walker for example. Other authors or musicians that we learned about include: Langston Hughes, Zora Neal Hurston, and Cab Calloway; just to name a few.
What Happened During The Harlem Renaissance:
We learned about many different important events that occurred during and because of the Harlem Renaissance. The Harlem Renaissance was the period of time where African American artists, musicians, and poets were finally becoming recognized.
